Ext. HD and Firewire Recommendations

Hello, Getting ready to purchase a new computer and i would like your advice on an external Hard Drive and Firewire for a great price. What to buy and where to buy it. I would like to have an 80 or 120 gig hard drive USB 2.0 or firewire. THanks for your help. I also need to add a CDRW if you have any suggestions... FIREWIRE EXT. HD CDRW Drive What Brand and where to buy it? Thanks Kevin

I just statted using a Maxtor 1-touch USB2/FW. Works great. Many interrupr errors have vanished and I can play Kontakt w/o crackles. I am using it as USB2 - I wanted to try this first to avoid FW conflicts with the 002R.

i'm using a western digital firewire/usb 2.0 hard drive with an enclosure... it is cheaper to build your own than buy one that's already built. I'm really happy with my western digital hard drive, no fuss, had it set up in literally 5 mins (once i had built it, that is).
