Anyone ever do any music for a Videogame?

I've been talking with this videogame company who's doing some sort of thing where they're creating a 15 minute film within a videogame engine. Whatever the hell that means .. anyway... I might be doing some of the musical score for this "film" and was wondering how that gets done. The person I'm talking with says they would send me the finished film and I would sync the music to the film somehow. Can that be done with Pro Tools?

Yes. I actually wrote the theme to Mike Tyson's Punch Out. It was a really inspirational time in my life. Just kidding. Although, I think it would be cool to have a job like that. I've always been into the theme type music for newer video games. I saw a show on TechTV about a guy that did the score for Starfox on Playstation. He basically just composed the themes on a midi program. Then he translated everything to paper and used a real orchestra.

assuming that you don't have sound to picture synchronisation devices...ask the videogame company to send you a quicktime movie of their 15 minute film. import it into your session. you will be able to watch it in sync (on another monitor idealy) with whatever is going on in your pro tools session. i hope that helps.
