Presonus FaderPort doesn't work with MacBook

I have a Presonus FaderPort control surface that works great with my Dell PC under Windows, but is completely not recognized by a MacBook. When running on Dell, I go in Reaper to Options / Preferences / Control Surfaces, select "PreSonus FaderPort (dev 1,2)", hit Edit and set the MIDI Input and Output to "FadeRport". But when trying to do the same on a Mac, there is no "FaderPort" to choose under MIDI Input and Output. Only something called "GarageMapper" (if I remember correctly) under MIDI Input and nothing under MIDI Output. What am I doing wrong...? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

It's under Preferences/Control Surfaces. Not /MIDI Devices.

Did you enable/configure the Faderport in Audio MIDI Setup? Does it even show up there?

No I mean the OSX 'Audio MIDI Setup' utility where you configure audio and MIDI devices.
