Snap to Scale feature?

Is there a snap to scale type feature/action/ext like the one in sonar where you can set the piano roll/track to only allow notes to be played in/clicked into the piano roll that belong to a certain scale? just for fun random stuff.

for some reason I cannot get this to work. I set it to whole tone and it does not snap to a C whole tone scale.

Also had trouble getting this to work. Or maybe I misunderstood it's function...
