As far as the price, I thought it was around 795 or so which is in line with the Sony; HOWEVER, from what I am interpreting from what I have read it IS the GML curves that you have to pay nearly $1200 for in the Sony version. With that in mind, the price doesn't sound unreasonable. I will say that I REALLY like the filters available in the Sony - so I would be interested to know if George's version offers the steep filters of the Sony, or the flexibility. Also, like it or hate it because of it's cost; you have to admit that the Sony is EASY to use. I read a lot of folks say they can do the same thing with other EQ plugs. Yes, if I have the sony up first, get a sound out of it that I like, then YES I can match it very closely with another, cheaper EQ plug - but If I have to go and buy the Lexus to drive each morning so I can realize that my Toyota rides just as good, then wouldn't it be cheaper to just by the Lexus in the first place and leave the Toyota on the lot??? OK, back to the subject at hand, I would love to hear from anyone that can comment on the sound, ease of use, DSP usage, and if the filters exist (or the other EQ curves) in the Massenburg plug in (and is it as ugly in real life as it looks on line
) I an seeing it for sale on-line so I am assuming it is available. Anyone taken the plunge?
