Unmarked pushbutton on 960

My recently acquired 960 estate has an unmarked pushbutton under the drivers side dash, just above my left knee. There is no reference to it in the Owners Handbook and it looks like a factory fitting. I lowered the trim panel and there are 2 dark coloured cables going to it. This switch does not appear to do anything. Is this a standard fitting or somebody's addition? Thanks in anticipation.

Is it an old shape or new shape 960? Old shape don't have anything like that. probably an add on.

Hi, If it is in the panel then it sounds like a previous users add-on... Whatever it was connected to is likely gone. But it would be worth tracing the wires to find out... Des. . . ;)

I will have a look what it is connected to and report back - watch this space!
