looking for drum software selection guidance

So, I used to use acid for drums but the sound quality wasn't there. I am looking for a program that works about the same that I can use for reaper. Looking for mostly traditional sounds but some alternative sounds would be nice. I want it to be easy to use. And with acid I could watch the drums roll which I like when tracking guitars or bass because I can see the changes. And free or really cheap is a good thing! Any of you guys have any suggestions? I totally recommend short circuit: Get your favorite samples and load them in!

OK, I downloaded it but can't get it to open..... actually, I can't get it installed. When I try the "uninstall icon on my desktop highlights and the install stops. Hmmm. Maybe I should re-download the file?

OK, I had an older version of Shortcircuit on my comp. and got it to load. I can bring it up in Reaper and I can load my samples, but, I can't figure out how to use this thing!!!!! Arg! Need some guidance please! Thanks!!! JASONB

Wow.... I was looking for something a little easier to use. is there anything? That thread on shortcircuit was a bit intimidating.
