Running 001 on a 9500

I have a 9500/200 and would like to purchase 001, without having to upgrade to a whole new computer the cost of both would be hard to do. What upgrades have you bought and what problems have you run into. Thanks, Chris

Hi Christian, I upgraded my 9500/120 card to the NewerTech G3/400. So far no problems running Digi001. I have 2 Seagate Barracuda ST39173 9G drives mounted externally via the adaptec 2940UW card. 352 MB RAM.

Hey Christian,I just installed 001 on a 9500 with Newertech G3 400/200 upgrade,and its working great ! Is anyone out there using two monitors on the 9500/G3 with 001 ? Ray

I'm using a 9500/200 with a Newertech 300/150 .I'm using two old SCSI external hard drives for audio ONLY, 1 Seagate Barracuda 4.5 and 1 Micropolis 4.5. I forget the seek time but bith turn at 7200 . No problems so far. I also use 2 monitors. I added a viseo card and have whatever I want on either screen. When I'm editing, I have the editing screen on my 20" and the mix screen on my small 13". When I'm mixing, I swap screens. Very Handy ! Of course on a 9500 you add a card, lose a slot. Hope this helps frank
