Hi Steve, for what you want to do you don't need to render anything. Load the wavefile onto a track and create two additional empty tracks. If you use the default-theme, you see a button marked "io" on TCP (left side), click on it on the track where your wavefile is. Under "Sends" use the menu to add a send to the first newly created empty track by choosing its track number. Two faders and a few options appear. Right above the faders on the right side there is a menu, where you choose "Pre-Fader (Post-FX)" or "Pre-FX". Now under "Audio" (which probably shows "1/2") set it to "1". Now add a second send by doing the same except that you set it to the second newly created empty track and set "Audio" to "2". Then in the upper left corner of the routing window uncheck "Master/Parent Send:". Now you can close the window (by clicking somewhere outside of it) and should be able to mix the two channels of your wavefile independently on the empty tracks. BTW: If you need to use this option frequently, you can select all three tracks and save them as a track template, that you then can load on future projects. You then just need to put your soundfile into the first track. To save a template, select the three tracks (as I wrote) and select "Track -> Save selected tracks as track template..." from the main menu. HTH -Data
