Okay, I am learning little by little/ I just did anice collab for a guy and thought I had rndered it...well I blew that and can't find my track. I can find all the seps from all the blown takes...lol. I will figure that out. I just wanted to highlight and export.... Okay, so now what I am asking is this..In sonar, you could upload a track with a click all the way to one side and vocal to the other. Then you could split the track and bounce it to two separt tracks...that way you had a spearate click and a track without the click to submit back with your audition....Am I making any sense? A guy just sent me a track to drum to, he has the click panned right so that I can split that out....'cept I do not know hw to.... Thanks for any help you can give me...

Hi Steve, for what you want to do you don't need to render anything. Load the wavefile onto a track and create two additional empty tracks. If you use the default-theme, you see a button marked "io" on TCP (left side), click on it on the track where your wavefile is. Under "Sends" use the menu to add a send to the first newly created empty track by choosing its track number. Two faders and a few options appear. Right above the faders on the right side there is a menu, where you choose "Pre-Fader (Post-FX)" or "Pre-FX". Now under "Audio" (which probably shows "1/2") set it to "1". Now add a second send by doing the same except that you set it to the second newly created empty track and set "Audio" to "2". Then in the upper left corner of the routing window uncheck "Master/Parent Send:". Now you can close the window (by clicking somewhere outside of it) and should be able to mix the two channels of your wavefile independently on the empty tracks. BTW: If you need to use this option frequently, you can select all three tracks and save them as a track template, that you then can load on future projects. You then just need to put your soundfile into the first track. To save a template, select the three tracks (as I wrote) and select "Track -> Save selected tracks as track template..." from the main menu. HTH -Data

Duplicate your track with the combined (stereo) wave in it, so you now have two identical tracks. Right click on the first one got to Item Settings/Item Channel Mode Mono (Left). Do the same on the 2nd one but select Item Channel Mode Mono (Right). You can then render these as stem tracks if you want.
