possible to back up directly from disc?

It's possible I'd think, but it'd have to be a selectable option within DIF4U as it defines the DVDdecrypter settings, which I don't think is available atm. So in reality I'd say no, unless Eyes`Only were to include it in a future release of DIF4U. It seems like a fairly obvious step, so I can't help but wonder if this has been left out intentionally?

I've done it before... I just thought there would be problems with processing the subtitles from the CSS encrypted source. Just select the DVD drive as the source. So I deselected subtitles and it worked fine. Not sure if subtitles would be the only problem though.

That is why the preferred method is creating an ISO of the file and using the ISO as your DVD source. It completely solves the encrypted source file problem you are having.
