There are a lot of good ideas and huge potential. I like the intro with the sound effects build followed by the menacing bass line. It creates a lot of anticipation, but then the drums come in and they sound too dry and lightweight to me. The ideas are epic, but the overall production sometimes doesn’t sound epic enough for the ideas. I think it might be a lot to do with the drums. Rhythmically I'm not sure that they always act as a solid foundation for the music. Sound wise I think the track could possibly make use of a more cavernous high quality reverb. Maybe a drum sound/production approach similar to that used by Bardo (see link) , might work. Although I notice that I commented at the time that there might be too much reverb, so you can’t count on a consistent view from me. But your track clearly has very good musicianship with many clever ideas. Pete
Your guitars are sounding great on this one. What are you using for drums? I don't think they are too thin, they seem to lack the right character for the bad-assness of the song :)

It's interesting hearing the original idea which is a different type of production. The drums sound more acoustic and remind me a bit of Jamstix. I use Addictive Drums (AD) and for your epic version of the track I think AD would be ideally suited. Have you tried some of the AD Rock presets like 90s Rock kit or Punchy Rock? Then focus on using Hall type reverb settings in AD. Another point of personal preference. I tend to use fairly low velocity settings on the hi hats and cymbals, then compensate by increasing the volume. I find high velocity settings tend to make the hi hats and cymbals sound a bit to clanky for my taste. But I like high velocity settings on the bass drum and snare to give punch. Your guitar sounds and playing are very good. Pete
