stand-alone D/A, D/A, mic-pres?

Hello folks, Someone must has asked this before, but I can't find the thread. When the machine is turned off, or if you only have the 001 & no computer, does the 001 operate in a standlone mode like the 888/24 I/O ? That would be really cool, to use the 001 as a standalone mic-to-digital audio convertor. MG

MG, Sorry, it doesn't work that way. Computer off = 001 off. Jeff D.

Except of course in monitor mode which allows you to hear inputs 3 and 4 without powering the computer up. Obviously doesn't involve the Mic pres or the A/D D/A converters though. Its a very cool feature that for some bizarre reason, I have yet to use.
