Keyboard recommendations

Looking to get a keyboard, primarily for a midi controller, but thought it would also be nice to have a keyboard that is polyphonic with a variety of sounds for live playing/recording...i.e. piano, organ, synthy stuff. Any recommendations on something that will do all this? Not looking to spend $3k on it...really just need a controller, so I can do that for well under $500 all day long. I'd spend $500 tho for something thats "all-in-one". TIA, Fitz

Have no experience with this, but it seems to be what you're looking for:

Not a big quantity of sounds in that Prokeys. And the keys are rather bad, IMHO. How many keys do you need? Also, weighted action or not? A lot of knobs/faders to control softsynths, or not? I'd suggest Novation X-Station any time of the day or night, if you don't need piano keys. Alas, it doesn't have sampled sounds, but it does have a pretty decent VA synth inside!
