Hi , I have a V40 GDI 1999 130k This problem started a few weeks ago and is getting worse, The brake pedal on my V40 feels very hard, there is virtualy no free play in pedal when you push your foot down and the car does stop as quickly as it used to,although it does stop if you push harder . The brakes feel "wooden" The car rolls freely nothing binding. I've checked the fluid level is ok and there looks to be plenty of "meat" left on the pads and discs. I tried bleeding the brakes using a gunson easybleed but there is no difference ,can anyone out there advise what to look for next? Any sensible suggestions?, I now know this is the model to avoid but apart from this problem the car is brilliant! best car that I've ever ownned. Nige
