Reaper crashes when loading VST presets

Hi! REAPER (3.0 and previous version too) crashes when I trying to load presets for some VSTi's (MinimogueVA, TAL-Elek7ro). But presets for "PPG Wave 2V" works OK. This occurs on 2 different PC's (both WIndows Vista SP1). I have the exact same problem with TAL-Elek7ro. So it appears not to be a problem out of Reaper vs. TAL-Elek7ro. Loading presets (fxb/fxp) with Minihost is working just fine. Tested on different 2.5x and 3.x of Reaper on XP SP2.

chance, are you trying to load free Greeg's soundsets for minimougeVA & TAL Ele7ro?

Ah ... Back in March, I may have had the same problem and perhaps I loaded the .fxb into energyXT1 and resaved it from there. Memory failing :) MinimogueVA 2.1 I've just redownloaded the .fxb - it was dated 14 March, the one I am using is dated 15 March so I guess I did load it and resave it. If you're still getting the problem it owuld be worth a reply to D N A's thread: HTH

i thought that .fxb and .fxp were raw dumps of the plugin parameters/memory and wouldn't be different whatever the host used. unless of a bug, of course. well, it seems it's not an exact science.

Time to bump this thread since I didn't want to make a new one. Basically I'm experiencing the same issue here. I bought an expansion for FireBird made by Tone2. These are 6 different files in FXB format. Loading bank 2-6 works just fine, but not bank 1. It will crash REAPER immediately. Now comes the tricky part: If I do load and save this bank now with MiniHost it works *for a while*. I didn't rebooted my PC since a while now, when it worked, but now back on it again, trying to work with this newly saved bank I made with MiniHost and it crashes too! Anyone got some ideas about this?
