hi all, i temporarily have a mix3 system residing in my living room along next to my LE (toolbox amIII) system... i have hooked up the mix system to my monitors through my flying cow (ad/da converter) aes/ebu i noticed a problem when playing back 48k sessions on the mix system, they play as if they are clocked at 44.1 (sloooowly) even though the 888's are slaved to the USD and all front panel indicators read 48k... the same sessions play fine on the LE rig. I know that the audio is 48k, and playing the files in peak on the tdm rig gives the same slooow results.. i did managed to get them to play by going into session setup and changing the clock source to superclock... am i correct that the USD should be generating the clock? and is there any way possible that the 1-2 AES/ebu output of the first 888 being connected to the aes input of my flying cow (which also has the spdif in/out connected to my amIII) could be mucking up the clock? (the flying cow cannot use both AES and spdif simultaneously, i have to manually set it) 44.1k sessions were playing fine on the big rig the whole time.... i know pt pretty well, but this is my first time with USD and whatnot thanks for the help.
