You mean a non-resonant steep filter, because that is what ReaEQ does not seem to have. I can only agree on the eq reacting live to text input. That's what knobs and sliders are for, because you can't jump by an order of magnitude that way. +1 on the text entry request. +1 on the filter type. Copy LiteOns JS filters if you must :) .

Try using the applefilter 72db that liteon provided us it should work for you. Also if I'm not mistaken (which I may be) in a standard eq like reaEQ each band is considered a pole so if you wanted a four pole hp filter just set 4 bands with the same values (i.e. all set for high pass at 300hz).

That is a good tip. I use this method to make different variations of sound effects. Cockos knows we'd like to see this behavior on a track level, but I'm holding off on specific requests in this direction for after the release of 3.0. Funny you know. That the function we'd like actually already there on a level we deem as being too high or complex for the work we need to do :) . All in good time. We're rolling ahead well.
