For 002 Mac or PC????

I'm gonna get the 002 but I wanted to get some advice about what kind of computer I should get. What are the ups/downs of getting the cheaper PC? Or is the MAC G4 the answer. Cost is a factor though (big) but I don't want a crash after crash nightmare. Any good advice? Will the PC handle the job or is the mac the only answer!!! Also, what is the best system for BOTH options! I mostly record rock bands (live drums, Gtrs etc) to let you know what I will be doing with the gear. CHEERS P.S. Goodbye ADAT's!!!

if you are worried about price get a PC if you are worried about how your music sounds (plug ins) get a Mac. Wiz

and on the seventh day he rested... i think it is too early to offer advice with regard to the 002. if you're uncertain, wait a little, while the dust settles and the creases, if any, are ironed out. it is also difficult beacuse OS X support is just round the corner. OS X is so vastly different from previous Mac OS' that everything currently considered fact may well completely change once protools is operating under OS X.
