I\'m recording in people\'s houses.....

..And some rather nasty noises have creped though guitar amps in those houses. Everything from 60 cycle to ground loop galore. Does anyone know of anything I can do to get rid of these gremlins? Devices with ground lift? Battery power supply? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, -Travis

Hello, One way that I know of to get rid of some of that ground loop hum, is just to make sure that all of your electronics can plug into the same grounding source. For me I get a couple of powerstrips and connect them till there are enough slots to cover what we need. This gets all of the power grounded to one place and can get rid of that hum. Another thing you might try is getting one of those 3 to 2 prong adapters for the amp. Now you can send the ground wherever you want to just by running a wire to the little tap that sticks out on the adapter for the ground. These are just a couple of suggestions.
