Free assignment would be cool. Is it (code wise) possible to combine double clicks with modifiers? Would solve some things...

I like this idea, but keep things customizable, if someone wants to still launch their external editor this way, or set their loop point.

I would love this. It would be awsome to be able to just use the arrows to jump around the workspace in zoom mode. if you had the navigator open you could see right where you wanted to work. It would be even cooler if the zoom button on my 01x toggled it.

So this is just a region/selection explode/zoom mode? Personally, I'd rather see something more complex when it comes to editing audio in reaper, like this: And obviously these editing/cursor tools implemented: I believe an explode/zoom function could be programmed via the macros. If not, then it would be a handy option, but not something I would want to be a default.
